As stated on the Home page the assignment of field letter codes to Transition Training
aircraft (S-E in particular) does not seem meet any defined pattern (i.e. randomly chosen). The WFTC and EFTC aircraft
used the identical system used in the basic and advanced categories of training aircraft at those same AAF's and
are documented as such.

Millville AAF Originally Millville was allocated a number of excess razor back P-47's and some
RA-25 Helldivers for their training program. These weary aircraft were transferred from Dale Mabry Field, FL and all were
marked with the field letter code of "T". At later point in time Millville was allocated fresh bubble canopy
P-47's and B-26 Maruders all of which were in natual metal finisn. The field letter code was changed to "M" which
reflected the name of the base.
